The Whistler equivalent will be a digital, phase II radio, with radar detector and red light camera alerts, WiFi, NFC and bluetooth with Android app. Will be able to stream personal music such as your favorite Justin Bieber CD.

I wouldn't expect the PSR-1000 to come out until year 2100. What I was waiting for is the PSR-510. It would be the 500 with the same display as used on the PSR-310/410. Nice if it also had P25 Phase II and TDMA reception capability.

Who says Whistler will even consider building their version of the PSR-1000 ? They might go the SDR route.
