GRE 500 decoding issues

Hello,

Back to the same GRE 500 scanner again, P25 phase 2 being rebroadcast on 800 MHz, some channels or good and other channels are garbled , my pro 197 is fine all the way around, 396T decodes well, all the way around, running 2.0 have used 2.1 firmware, neither makes a difference. suggestions, have moved scanner to different places, and used different antenna, no change. Getting ready to get a WS 1080 if I can't get a solution

If your trying to monitor a P2 system with a 500 it snot going to happen mate.The 500 is not P2 compatible. Is it P2 being rebroadcast on a P1 system?

I'm reading this as there is a P25 system which is rebroadcasting on an older 800 system.... Can you advise which system(s) you are talking about?

It may be a problem with the PSR-500 scanner you own. Have you tried another PSR-500 scanner?

Are others in your area having the same problem with the PSR-500?

500, 197, 396T all doesn't do Phase 2 period! I think he might be referring to a simulcast 800 system

Ot it's a Phase II system operating in Phase I compatibility mode which means any of those scanners would work.

only problem with that is the OP is from Dayton, I don't see any Phase II systems in that area...but Phase I and Moto Type II simulcast towers mixed in
