Now I may have went completely crazy, but I swear I remember Hickory being on an OpenSky system not that long ago. Anyone else recall any of that? The database doesn't show it, but I'm almost certain I remember hearing a lot of talk about that in the past. Or maybe I'm mistaken, or maybe it didn't work out.

I'm hearing rescue on my trunking scanner and analog now that you mention it.

Well after using the handy search button I answered my own question. Figured I'd share my findings in case anyone else was curious. Apparently the P25/OpenSky system is for PD only and judging by the article posted the new migration is for the fire departments. Makes sense. Post 16 on this thread ( http://forums.radioreference.com/no...scussion-forum/224719-hickory-p25-system.html ) clears it up a bit.

I'm curious as to the repeater locations. Baker and Anderson Mountain are a given.
