Is anyone able to monitor the Belleville Ontario fire dept. I was able to hear them but can't get them anymore, I am using the Home Patrol scanner.

Last time I was there they were P25 conventional.. did they go encrypted?

Unsure if they went encrypted or not, last i heard them it was still on the 154.265 freq. can the home patrol scanner pick up p25 encryption.

Scanners cannot decode encrypted transmissions, no exceptions.

Why not just program it as P25 conventional and find out? According to the RR Database
here it is not encrypted, but I'm not there to confirm. Don't confuse P25 with encryption; it
can be with or without encryption,

heard the guys doing radio checks at 8 am this morning, loud & clear, they just dispatched on 169.845, to a highschool for a unconscious female,

Try adjusting p25 levels down a little that may help

I'm not sure what you mean by adjusting p25 levels down. I am new to trunk scanning and learning all the time.

i have the 496t and they come in find.
i got the new bcd436hd and at first they didnot come in, then, suddenly they did come in.
now that was weird

they are not encrepted, they are p25
