Does any one know of a supplier that carries a replacement "Rotary Encoder" (AKA, Scroll/Function knob) for the 996 & BCD15 series scanners?

That's the volume/squelch, not the scroll knob.

Not sure who told you that, but in general it isn't true. If we have the part, we will sell it (sometimes we don't have new parts in inventory, and in that event we refuse to sell you what we don't have).

123radio.com is where I brought all of the knobs for the BCRH96 remote head. They only sell the knob the middle part that connects to the radio must be remove with a needle nose pliers. The half moon metal part.
