Just heard NYC US Park Police dispatcher on 166.325 announce that all units should switch to channel 2 digital & the new system is to now be used. They've gone P25 digital. Does anyone know the new frequency? I hope it's non-encrypted.

Those are NYS park police, a state agency. The OP is referring to the United States Park Police, a federal agency.

Strangely they are back using the 166.325 analog rptr this morning. From the way the announcement was made yesterday it sounded like they were permanently switching to digital. Now I'm guessing it was just a test of using the digital channel for yesterday's shift.

I do hear the 169.650 rptr in Western Suffolk Co very well. It's P-25 encrypted with a 4F9 National Park Service NAC. Maybe that is what they are referring to as channel 2 digital. I've been monitoring 169.9875 from here since last year & never heard anything. Just started monitoring 162.1625 yesterday with nothing heard yet. Thanks for the reply's.
