Anybody notice changes to Seattle simulcast overnight Saturday into Sunday, My SPD/SFD and some King County Sheriff went silent. Tried three different units. Wasn't even picking up non-trunking transmissions. (new radio designed to deal with rebanding didn't help either)

I'm assuming it might be switching to the same system the WSP is converting to. If this is the case/they went to something encrypted, will the public still be able to tune in?

At any rate, I'm looking forward to when someone can get the new frequencies.

I don't understand, are your listening on a scanner or a radio?

Some of the frequencies fell back on to alternates. So if you programmed the primary and alternate CC's then you may not notice anything. It's only if the frequency changes (i.e. is new)

Weird, I tried updating my BCT-15 and BCD396XT and when I put in 853.175 for a control channel the radio is trying to listen on 853.1875 and not 853.175.

My PSR-800 works fine after updating it...

Are the Uniden's not rebanded properly?

I have a BCD396XT and it's working okay. But in addition to adding the new frequency, you have to update the Band Plan. If you're using Arc-XT PRO, on the "General" tab for the site, click on "Edit Mot Bandplan", and click on "Rebanded". Then update your radio.

Yeah I'm just now figuring that out. Can you share the band plan with low and high freqs? I don't have that software...

Here's what it shows (horizontal table entries didn't format nicely):

Entry 1:
Lower/Base: 851.0250
Upper: 854.0000
Step: 25.0
Offset: 440

Entry 2:
Lower/Base: 851.0125
Upper: 868.9875
Step: 25.0
Offset: 0

Nah, I can't put them in reverse like that. I have to do it the opposite -- but that only gets me the SPD groups. I'm not hearing the KCPD groups.

I found this old thread. I tried the top one as it matches what Unitrunker is showing me from the data I just gathered on the site.

http://forums.radioreference.com/ut...5682-custom-band-plan-s-rebanded-systems.html

The only thing is one of the upper frequencies errors out as being out of band.

I'm using FreeScan to modify my scanner. It has the Motorola Type II/Rebanded Plan on the Site options. It will calculate the upper frequencies.

This is the list I'm using.

(25khz Steps)

851.0125
861.9875
0

851.025
854.0
440

865.0125
868.9875
560

866.0
868.35
720

867.0 ** FreeScan returns OOB and programs blank info here
870.625
815

867.425
862.375
961

868.975 ** No room for entry on Uniden
???
958

Everything *seems* to be working with the above.

UPDATE: I remove the 867.0 entry and just added the last one and everything is working good.

They will not be switching to WSP. There is a RFP for a new P25 Phase II on the street.

Seattle Simulcast Dead

I've been using the Seattle Simulcast to listen to Seattle / UW Police for a while and now I'm having the same issue. The only control channel I can get is the EPSCA Simulcast on 868.2000 and it is pretty scratchy. Anyone know what is going on?

so if I have Arc-XT PRO will they update for seattle??

You need to modify the band plan on the site -- in this case -- the Columbia Tower site.

Here's a link of a FreeScan screenshot: http://wiki.radioreference.com/index.php/File:FS_rebanding_v.8.JPG
The ARC software will probably look very similar.

Just go into your programming software and use the custom band plan below:

[25khz Steps]

(Lower Freq)
(Upper Freq)
(Offset)

851.0125
861.9875
0

851.025
854.0
440

865.0125
868.9875
560

866.0
868.35
720

867.425
862.375
961

868.975
864.0
958
