Belt Clip

My plastic belt clip for my BCD436HP broke (just like my BCD396XT clip broke in the past). I am thinking of replacing it with this:

Has anyone tried this clip? Any other recommendations?

I am 99% sure that is a standard Mic holder cost $2.00 but to construct the rest??
I would worry about the button on the back of the 436 will break being plastic and again if you find just the button off of an old mic or a new one will fit exactly on the 436 then no worry there.

I've never had good luck with the belt clips. Better to purchase a case that has a built-in belt clip which will protect the scanner, hold it better, and likely not cost much more. I like that guy's design, but $20 for a mic holder with a belt clip riveted on? Wow.

I prefer a hard leather case to. You get some protection from rain, or if you drop it or bump it.
