help with pro 197 scanner

when i go to my weather channel, it seems to be stuck on scan. i tryed the sel uo and down and it will not do any thing. no sound and no scan. and i did push the F2 stby and nothing. is there any way to reset this? Thanks for any help.

If your stuck on WX button, push & release scan, that will start scanning again

Thanks, may I explain it worng. when i want to listen to the weather channel, it seems to be stuck on one freq. has no sound when i push the sel up and down the freg. stays the same.i have push the F2 stby button and still nothing.

Do the squelch and RSSI bars light up?

In weather mode, the display should look like the following. The "WxN" channel number and frequency may vary. Note the lower-case "stby". If it shows up as "STBY", then audio will be muted.
