BCD436HP and the seattle area

So now that my bct15 can no longer get the wsp frequencies. I am wondering if i get the 436 would it be obsolete soon or will it be good for years to come?

I was also wondering if just spending the extra to buy a apx7000 and use the hidden talkgroup function to monitor would be a better investment though it would be 3x as much.

Or should i just give up on mobitoring as its getting pretty expensive

1. Does that radio not have the capabilities to trunk track the 700mhz system? Does that radio have the ability to track the JIWN?

2. The BCD 436HP tracks both the IWN and 700mhz system just fine.

Yes it does Steve the APX 7000 is a very spendy radio, you can get 4 or 5 536's for what this thing cost. here is our wiki on this. take a look over on ebay for the cost.

ive seem them for about 1500-2000 but some are more. i just figured that if i am spending 400-500 on a scanner why not spend a little more and get something that can do alot more.
