Business Frequencies-central PA

Are many businesses still using any of the two-way business radios or are they now primarily using MURS or cell phone? Just curious for the State College, Bellefonte, Williamsport areas. Thanks for any assistance in advance.

Those are common frequencies used by businesses in mall areas, often on Motorolas.

Most business went to cellular rather than narrowband, as it was more cost effective. Some (usually larger) companies went with networked solutions such as Triangle Wireless' TRBO network in your area. And some are still using the same pre-narrowband equipment. Of course, there are still some business users using SNFM analog, but not nearly as many as there used to be.
