Looks like traffic accidents are now on Channel 1 and the auto voice says "Motor vehicle accident" as opposed to MVA response. Been noticing this since they rebanded.

Well they used to say MVA Response...on Channel 5 prior to rebanding but now that has changed.

What is about rebanding that you don't get? The core concept? A frequency change that no system user will ever notice or care about has zero to do with how SFD runs their CAD.

The word accident implies (lack of) culpability. Its probably an inappropriate word for use in emergency services dispatching (in a legal sense).

Much the same as most traffic reporters and some LE agencies now using the word "crash" post re-banding.
I haven't thought of that.
