Pro197 Trunked System.

Hello, I am having trouble programing the Pro-197 for a Trunked System. I am able to get all the info programed in, but when I try and scan, it says nothing enabled. I have then loaded into bank 4 and when I enable bank 4 it says nothing enabled. I am new to trunked systems.

Sounds like you don't have anything under Talkgroup like wildcard or actual Talkgroups programmed. If you do have entries under Talkgroup, sounds like they are not tied to the Trunk System.

I have got it to work partially. I manually put in the talk groups, but am getting some that I do not want.

You have to assign talk groups and other objects to the scan lists, otherwise you will get the 'nothing enabled' warning.

My experience with trunked systems, I ALWAYS leave a "wildcard" enable. Just in case radios are reprogrammed or what not. Once you get a hit on a USER ID/conversation you don't want, simply press FUNC then L/O (depending on your scanner settings) and it will be permanently ignored.
