Anyone know what system the Military Police moved to. I realized today I have not heard a peep from them on the 173.25000 recently.

Have you tried searching? CFB Borden recently moved to a VHF trunking system and it's possible other bases are doing the same thing.

Would they not have moved fire at the same time? the FD is still on the 173 freq they had before.

No. In Borden's case, they left the old system up and departments moved over one at a time.

Search for a 9k6 control channel and see what you find.

Based on Borden/Meaford any new system would likely be in the 148-152 range,
but wouldn't rule out something in the 170-174 range. Come to think of it, don't
know where the 148-152MHz repeater inputs are.

Any P25 CC should stand out; don't know what else up that way would be using P25
except H-Q (check 142.980 or 142.530 for CC sound).

So the system seems to be identical so much so when I told unitrunker to download the system from RR.com it pulled down the CFB Borden system. Same control channels. Will have to start mapping it now.

It would pull the Borden/Meaford system since they're the only two sites that are known for the system. You'll need to pull a site I'D in order to just download Petawawa.

This is what I have from Unitrunker. i'll be the first to admit this is the first time I have done a new system, nothing ever shows up this way.

Can't say I really understand Unitrunker. I'm more of a Pro96Com guy myself.

From what I see, you've found RFSS 2, Site 1 with channels of 142.230Mhz, 143.760Mhz or 152.030Mhz. I'm guessing the actual control channel your scanner is parked on is 143.760Mhz?

CFB Petawawa

Try redownloading it. I've changed the site ID to Site 1, RFSS 2. That might make things look more correct.

Now you've just got to figure out who's on what talkgroups.

And RENIR of course.

Interesting, 142.230 is (or used to be) the Fleetnet CC for Denbigh...not that far from Petawawa.

Yeah, I'm going to leave UniTrunker up and I have it in my 996XT now as well. Monday morning after a holiday it should be busy tomorrow.

It's odd on my 996XT when it stops on that site I can hear a tick. None of my other trunk systems do that.

yeah RENIR but isn't that all french?

I don't think 142.23 is a CC for the new P25, I think Unitrunker picked it up when I was scanning CC's. I deleted the entire system from Uni and it hasn't come back yet saying 142.23 again. Just shows 143.76 and 152.03. 143.76 being active right now.

Just powered up Pro96Com

That would indicate you've found Site 3, RFSS 1 with a neighbour of Site 1, RFSS 2.

I've heard that this will be a multi-provincial system so the second RFSS zone could be another province.

Hmm odd. 996XT. I could see the traffic on Unitrunker but the scanner wasn't getting audio just stopped on the system. It wasn't until I put the scanner on Hold on the new system did I get the audio.
