Try 600khz. 147 is+ anything lower is lmost always -. On occasion you have your rouge repeaters with a + offset lower than 147 Megz.

I'm was going to program them in for when they are actually discussing functional stuff, as they have a whole ARES emergency trailer parked behind the East Lyme EOC, paid for by the DHS. It has been in use during severe weather, blizzards, hurricanes, etc.

Yes, but you are referencing repeater output frequencies. So if you program in the transmit frequencies, you will only hear the same thing you hear on the repeater outputs. Hams generally, and probably almost never in a controlled ARES situation use the input as a simplex frequency. Always using repeaters for extended range. So just program the repeater output frequencies you listed above and happy listening...

Was just curious as I live near the Town Hall , which is where the ARES trailer is always set up during an emergency

Look up the New England Repeater directory. They have a comprehensive list of all the CT 2 meter repeaters, their call signs, locations and their proper offsets. Also they list if there is an encode / decode for the repeater PLs, some of them may have a different input PL than the output. DCS are always used and are the same for bout the in / out.

If you have any problems understanding their set up, give me a PM and I'll explain it the best I can. Fairly simple to read though.

DMR ARES

DMR is catching on like wildfire, and CT ARES has gotten onboard, courtesy of the state police amateur radio group. The ARES DMR repeaters are located at hardened, secured CSP sites and offer statewide coverage across the net.
ARES DMR net meets Sunday evenings at 20:30 on Statewide TalkGroup 2 immediately following the regular ARES net on conventional FM repeaters.
