Who uses the User Recording feature on either the 436 hp or the 536 HP to help ID the UIDs on the MOSWIN system ?

If so I will like any audio file that you may have. Especially in and around the St Louis area.

Please send me them to fulldavid63601@gmail.com

Just a reminder I still want any ID UIDs. Also send them to me in a spread sheet at the above address.

Thanks a bunch.

Disreguard the previous unit numbers, unit number was 4205565. 4205563 and 4205568 are attached to wentzville pd, unit 4205565 has to be with Wentzville PD.

TG 24220 is known st peters, we have posted 24224 as st peters dect. 24227 appears to be st peters traffic radar, voice recording calling out vehicles. got hits on 24237 and 24244 which appear to be st peters utility stuff. Got audio but not enought to confirm source. Based on the tg number, sure it st peters departments but not saure which ones.

Good Evening, Folks.. been quite a long time since I've browsed the site. My RS PRO197 decided to stop getting Talkgroups so it's a paperweight now. I'm looking at the Uniden BDC996XT or if it's worth it in Sikeston the BDC536HP. The latter is way out of my range, but if it's something that i'd truly need, then i will save up for it.. Not sure if Sikeston will be going or is Phase 2 atleast not n any future, eh? the 996xt @ $350 seems like a reasonable price to pay. Give me feedback on if ya'll approve of my choice? Thanks in advance!

zk1975: it appears that Scott County is type 1, some encrypted by Sikeston so no scanner will pick that up. Bernie an dDexter are an LTS 800 system, state at Poplar Bluff is Type 1, looks like a 996xt should work. At least this is monitorable until the Motorola sales rep comes by and says, "you are out of date" With Grant money being tight, I would think the system being developed will be around along time.

Awesome. I just didn't want to spend a fortune on a radio that I'd never use the features that are the reason for it's premium price range.. or atleast by the time my area became Phase 2, there's a newer, better, cheaper radio available. Just sayin' :)

Scanners are like radar detectors. As soon as we sort of match the police they come out with something new. Sinew 1972 I have owned 5 different scanners. Each a step up in technology. So far none of MOSWIN is type 2, and Scott county, Butler etc, operate on MOSWIN, so I feel a type 1 will be good to gfo for several years. I'm just guessing but so much of a change would effect so many that it doesn't look like a change is coming.

Alright then, I will get the 996XT. I just hope it lasts longer than the pro197!

Site Question. I am trying to monitor MSHP Troop C on MOSWIN. When in House Springs I am picking them up great on the Imperial P2 site. When in O'Fallon within a 1 mi or more from Weldon Spring I do not receive anything. I can actually monitor Imperial as far as Rt 109 and Rt 100 which is closer to Weldon Springs, but not picking anything up.

I am using a Uniden BCD436HP. I have used both the stock and a RS 800 antenna. ARC536Pro software.

I have the Imperial P2, St Charles Simulcast, and Weldon Springs sites activated; all other sites are avoided. The only one I hear anything on is Imperial. I have all of Troop C's talkgroups set to monitor and MOSWIN on its own Favorite List.

What am I doing wrong?

dougbk, guess I should add Imperial site, I live in St Peters, I have the Drake site, weldon Springs, Shirley, st charles Cty 800, Warrenton . Drake I get Troop I and Troop F, Troop C is on Weldon Springs and the Shirley Site, Antenna is a dual band Diamond that is set for ham vhf and ham uhf. Nothing fancy. Radio is a 396xt. Since dec 17th, when st charles migrated to Slater, Weldon Springs has gotten quiter and I don't know why. Troop I and Troop F seem about the same.

If you have the MARRS trunk system already programmed in and working, you can simply add talk group 34045 to that system for Troop A Dispatch 1.

Talk group 34045 on MARRS is the same as talk group 20005 on Moswin.

If you have Moswin programmed in as a separate system, make sure the control channel for either Independence (170.5125) or Lawson (169.6625) is in your frequency list for that TSYS object.
Make sure the system type is P25 Auto.

You'll probably want talk groups 20005 (metro KC), 20007 (rural troop A) and 20009 (dispatch 3).
These groups are on Moswin.
