Sorry, didn't have internet most of the day yesterday, or I would have posted something. In addition to G-EVENTs 9 & 10, they also ended up using 11. There was also a ton of traffic on the local fire frequencies for Kalamazoo & Calhoun Counties. Sounded like they had trouble getting their poop in a group for a while; chalk that up to "the fog of war". In addition to the Galesburg-Charleston Fire Department, they also had Comstock (Kazoo County), and Battle Creek, Leroy Twp, the Air Guard, and the VA Hospital FD's out there. The VA also took 2 of their 50-passenger buses out there to transport the walking wounded.
The low-altitude fireworks show was impressive. Also impressive was the fact that there was only one fatality in the mangled mess that was a total of 193 vehicles, including over 60 semis.
Just got the Nixle alert that I-94 is still closed both directions at MM 90.
