Program it like any other Motorola system. The scanner will figure out and automatically decode APCO-25 CAI for you. The only time you need to be concerned about programming a P25 system is if it says "System Type: Project 25 Phase I/II."

PGM - F1 (NEW) - F1 (TGRP) - Set TSYS: to the Trunked Radio System you want or create it if you haven't already - Down to ID: and then enter 32 - F1 (Done) - Down to Tag: and name it what you want to call it - F1 (DONE) - F1 (Save). You've successfully programmed talkgroup 32.

You might find Easier to Read Pro-106/197/PSR500/600 Digital Scanner Manual helpful if you're planning to program your Pro-652 entirely by hand.

The above video will show you how to manually program a trunking system into you scanner. You can look on YouTube for other videos on how to program it. The PRO-651 is programmed the same as any of the following scanners: PRO-106, PRO-197, PRO-651, PRO-652, PSR-500, PSR-600, PSR-651 and PSR-652. Just search YouTube for any of those models.

You didn't mention if you have any software to program your scanner with. It might be easier to use software, especially for a large system. To use software you would need a programming cable. There are basically three software programs that can program the PRO-652. They are Win500, ARC-500 and PSREdit500. Each of these comes with a 30 trial so you can download all three and decide for yourself which one you like the most. My personal preference is Win500, but they all three will do the job, it's just a matter of which one you're the most comfortable using.

but they program a digital p25 system in the video
Spitfires advice is still correct. Program it as Motorola 800 and not P25 unless it actually is.

The only other consideration is whether that is a rebanded Motorola system. If it is, you may also need to enter some records in the tables section of the tsys data that you can find by searching on radioreference. com for rebanded GRE or radio shack.
