I was reviewing the database and found something very weird MONOC now covers Bergen County?? MICCOM is still VERY ACTIVE. Wondering if it's a backup or something.

MONOC

Justin,

I processed that submission and they do cover Lyndhurst in Bergen County during "day time" hours. I have even heard their ALS talking with FD/EMS in my town in Passaic County. Yes, MICCOM may be the primary in our area, however MONOC EMS service has been ever encroaching north ward here in NJ. With various changes in EMS state wide, they are filling the vacuum in some areas.
MONOC their name has become a misnomer since they are approaching State Wide service. Perhaps they should change their name reflecting the new vast EMS service empire:roll:?

In light of all this information, I've opted to create a new system for advanced life support service providers in the area encompassed by Monmouth / Middlesex / Somerset / Morris / Warren Counties and north to the NYS Line instead of isolating each ALS provider in each county. Is the below list complete and accurate (excluding the major cities such as Newark and Jersey City)?

CenCom: 155.2650 (192.8)
MedCentral: 155.2200 (103.5)
MICCom: 155.175 (100.0)
MonOc (Northeast): 155.3550 (186.2)
MonOc (North): 451.4750 (210.7)

To echo 1321- the slogan was changed a while back. Remember - MONOC had the Atlantic City contract in 1999! Of course that long ago went by the wayside. Remember folks- its now the world of contracted EMS for hire! I'm sure its just the beginnings!

CenCom: 155.2650 (192.8)

MICCom: 155.1750 (100.0)

REMCS: 155.4000 (127.3)

Bump.
