have a bc436,anyone out there try this anttens in a city enviroment? how do you like it's performance? Range capabilities??

The RHF10 is not really designed for "dx". :)

That said, it makes a GREAT antenna for close-in operations, and being super-flexible, even while short, makes it survive semi-rough handling.

For a scanner in the city, think of it as your "external attenuator", which depending on circumstances, may be the right antenna for the right job. At the race track certainly.

Ha! I use one of those on a Yaesu VX-3R that blasts 1.5 watts of power! It actually hits various 2m and 70cm repeaters as long as I am outdoors and a building or large tree is not in the way. (or my head)

It is a terrible antenna for receiving or transmitting.
It is a fantastic antenna for receiving and transmitting that fits in your pants pocket.
