I'm thinking the "X" in front of those labels is the same "X" used in the RRDB to indicate a MARCS IP TG.

It's not the TG number, it's the Alpha Tag for it - like these:

Hancock County (32) Talkgroups

DEC HEX Mode Alpha Tag Description Tag
22003 55f3 D XFD32DSP Fire Dispatch Fire Dispatch
54560 d520 D XSO-32 Statewide Interop Interop
54797 d60d D XSO32DSP Sheriff Dispatch Law Dispatch
59115 e6eb D XEM32DSP EMS Dispatch EMS Dispatch

That is RR's definition - what radios I have seen don't show the TGID - but they may. Isn't that a derivation from the hexadecimal or some such.

You never hear anyone go to 22003 but to XFD32DSP

OK this has gotten way off track.

I was just saying that the "X" in the document was like the "X" in the RRDB and was used there to distinguish that it was in the IP MARCS TG not in the "old" one.

I'm not arguing about it or how it''s used.

RR data base re OSP TGs

Can anyone explain why you cannot access the OSP TG's in the RR data base? All I end up with is a blank page. Sorry if this is the wrong forum for the question?

I just looked at the MARCS database and OSP is still there.

Note: OSP has not migrated to MARCS-IP (yet), so it won't appear in the MARCS-IP database until it moves there.

I'm pretty sure those are place holders for the OSPs impending move to MARCS-IP in the next month or so. They are still on the old MARCS system.

The OSP "Place Holders" were set up in anticipation of OSP's move to MARCS-IP. The OSP has reorganized their District Structure and now use "names" instead of numbers to identify their Districts. They also consolidated from 10 Districts to 8 Districts. Thus, RadioReference is preparing in advance to import the OSP Talkgroups into the new District alignment.
