Can't Identify Frequency

Call me crazy, but I can't figure out where this comes from. Looked all over the database and nothing fits.
154.980 with 94.8PL. I'm listening in the Cookeville area. Sounds to me like jail operations and it comes in crystal clear.

Putnam County, Tennessee (TN) Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference
Could it be 154.9725 - Sheriff Tertiary? It says its DMR but maybe they are using analog and it is possible it is bleeding over. Next time tune up a little and see if it comes in clearer. Also if your off frequency a little the PL tone may not come up correct.

It very well could be. 154.980 is just as clear as 154.9725 and with the same PL. Maybe they are running analog.
Maybe someone can verify for us.

That is indeed the Jail frequency. I found it from my sources listed as jail VHF 154.9275 PL 94.8 and it is repeated

You mean 154.9725 dont you?

There is a license for it.

It shows it's only 10 watts so unlikely to bleed over. The antenna is located at 421 E SPRING ST, COOKEVILLE, TN which would be the Putnam County jail.

Unless they've changed it, Putnam Jail is:

Rptr TX: 154.9725 TPL 94.8
Rptr RX: 159.015 TPL 94.8

The antenna is a DB222 on top of the cooling tower at the Justice Center.

Yeah, I remember that repeater pair; 159.015 is also Jackson County Fire repeater input. I programmed 60 jail radios only to find out afterwards that lucky me chose the same PL tone that Jackson County was using.

Ha well if it makes you feel any better i programmed a ton of XPR 6550s for someone and spent so much time building and perfecting the template that when i got finished cloning all of them i simply forgot to select the group in the personality and they were all left at none. Gladly i caught it before i presented it to the customer.
