The last known entry for that frequency was in 2008. I looked at the FCC License search and it came back with nothing. I work out that way , if I run into someone I will ask about it.

462.625 is a GMRS frequency.

I assume your talking about the boro of Plum and not the township. (Alleg Co)
The only legit license showing in the FCC records is:

WNPZ628 155.625 FB2, FB, & Mo
158.850 mo (repeater input)

Think the 462 is incorrect and should be 155....

I know the FD used that frequency, and yes it's a GMRS frequency.

155.625 is the public works and is not a typo made with 462. 462.625 is in use, too.

I remembered it being a DPL possibly 025

Again it only simplex so you need to be in range to hear it.

Jesus...am I showing my age when I remember Plum Police being on 155.625 (162.2 pl) and the Fire Board being on 33.86?

462.625 is a GMRS frequency which does require a license to use.

You replied to a thread "Allegheny County Plum CH-6" with a license post, and you did so right below a post that said they didn't need a license for the GMRS frequency which they use for that - specifically 462.625. But, no biggie.

Don't see a need to start a new thread for it since it the same area. I'll keep what I got to myself and just be a viewer on radio reference from here on out.

159.3975 is still active according to the FCC, however this is a old Police Freq when Plum did their own Dispatching and was a way for Plum to do police mutual aid with Murrysville. I have this old freq in my scanner and I don't see it in use. Plum Police, Fire & EMS are being Dispatched by Allegheny County 911 on East PD channel 2 .... 472.5875 pl 167.9 If you listen in Plum are cars 43xx and Penn Hills are 33xx. see above post for Fire/EMS info.

The original post was for a specific freq ch. 6. It is used very little as it is a GMRS . They have it listed as their ch 6 but I do not see a license for it. They may use it for Fire practice but Allegheny County 911 will not contact via this freq...

Correct it is not licensed as it is a GMRS channel. Someone programmed this into their uhf radios. Not sure if it still in them as they would have been reprogrammed since they initially went to UHF. It is not repeated so you need to be close to them when they are transmitting if they even still use it.
