I was looking for some kind of direction with the DEEP talkgroups on the TRS. Looks to me like the low band system has been disbanded so to speak...Haven't heard much of anything there for a while.
I have 4 talkgroups which I have heard on the TRS, and not sure as to who they belong to, but I have guessed only judging by the comms I have heard.
I could be 100 % correct but I doubt it. Probably 100% wrong. Looking for some help on these 4 and others that are used, as Chris just revealed with the 22496 talkgroup.
Here is what I have heard:
22416 EnCon East
22432 EnCon West
22464 Hazmat
22560 Marine - Parks

Anyone help with fills and corrections?
Thanks- The season is upon us. :D
Bob

Wait till this spring / summer...

You will have parks staff on low band - some internal park & ENCON comms on VHF, and the law groups (CO's, and such) on the 800 system.

Going to be interesting to see who can (and cannot) talk to who

22464 - Hazmat was active over the weekend with an incident at a residence in Lisbon. Personnel were in their "bodybags with windows" and on SCBA, but were quite legible.

See if the DB is correct. There was a submission that left a little confusion but I think I had it straightened out.

They are DEEP EnCon East & West as opposed to, say DEEP Parks East & West.
Also, the Spills guys are not really "Law Enforcement" tag although I don't know what group you might shoehorn them into.

I think I may tag those as public works... as the three main public safety grounds do not really fit, other than multi-tac, which most likely fits better. I'll let you guys decide

Ova here

That is because the radios are inside the Level A suits and hooked up to the SCBA masks.

Did we come up with a ruling on talkgroups 22512 and 22528?

Thanks Chris

I renamed ops east/west as LE East/West as that is the primary function, unless its changed a little more - also to be less confusing for the park operations.

If this doesn't fit, let me know - I don't listen to them too much

I think there is a new Deep talk Group 22248. Only seen and heard once.

PJH,

The Law Enforcement districts are East, West and Marine. Marine District is not 'the water,' it is the shoreline from NY to RI (except New Canaan which is Marine, but not on the shoreline)

I would be surprised if that is a legit TG. It is substantially below existing DEP TGs, Perhaps you typo'd and are referring to the encrypted 22448 TG...

Hi,
I was listening to the DEEP talkgroups and I noticed 2 things.
First is I think the descriptions are reversed in the database.
I have 22432 as West and 22416 as East. Below is from the database.
Hearing a lot of traffic on 22432 but not sure if it is west or east.
Need to have someone confirm.

Second thing I noticed is that I am getting the same transmissions on 22560 as 22432.
Something else that just seems strange. Maybe they are linked for the storm, I do not know.

Just thought I would put this out here.

Thanks,

Dave

Yes, the two main DEP talkgroups are switched in the database.
They routinely patch many, if not all of the DEP talkgroups together. I suspect it has to do with how off hours dispatching is setup.

Well, someone needs to figure this out.... :)

I think we have swapped these at least 5 times in the last two years.
