Sentinel wont install.

So I did a fresh install of Windows 8 a few weeks ago, now sentinel will not install. It says I need .NET Frame work version 2. I have version 4.5 and can't find a way to install Sentinel.

Anyone else have this happen?

You'll need to download .NET framework 2.0.

I just installed Sentinel on a tablet and had to download the specific 2.0 version before it allowed me to install.

It wouldn't let me install and older version but I finally got it install and now it's working. Thanks!

Unlike other SW, .NET is not version based in that 3.0 does not replace 2.0, and 4.0 does not replace 3.0. Each major version (the 2/3/4) is UNIQUE and can be installed with any other major version. Only within the major versions is the replacement. For example, 4.1 replaced 4.0, Etc.

I currently have .NET 2, 3, and 4 installed. Different programs require different versions. So, specific to your case, 4.5 does not replace 2.0. And 2.0, while is is older in that it has existed longer, is not an older version of 4.5.
