I am a new ham and am looking for a decent club to join. I have searched the web and ARRL and found roughly a dozen or so in the valley. Problem is, most of their websites (every one of them) is either dead, inactive, uninformative, or written by what looks like a 3rd grader and from the 1990's.
I'd love to find a club that's active with members of a wide range of ages... not just seniors. One that gets outdoors to camp and have mini field events multiple times a year. Large, but small enough that everyone knows each other.
With the ARRL Annual Field Day approaching, I'd really like to pair up with a group that fits what I am looking for. Any suggestions?
PS. Asking around on 2m and 70cm hasn't been much help.
