Summer is coming, I hope, and so are trips to the cape. So I was wondering what is heard on what zones out there? Looks like Zone 4 is a full simulcast for Cape Cod. Zone 6 looks complete for Truro but a FCC license search shows 3 of the Zone 6 frequencies (856.2125, 857.2125cc, 857.2125) are registered at all of the Zone 4 sites as well. I also noticed that the RR Zone 4 shows 3 frequencies (857.2125, 860.2375, 860.4625) missing from any kind of search for them in the FCC database. And last but not least I guess Zone 11 is just Wellfleet.
Thanks

I haven't run Unitrunker in a long time so I can't confirm if those 3 frequencies you mention are still affiliated with Zone 4. I know if you download the frequencies from the database with software your scanner should work fine for Zone 4. Zone 6 covers the Outer Cape and I don't think all talk groups are heard in that Zone. Same with Zone 11, I believe this is just a "fill In" site for coverage in that area.

4 will cover 90% of your Cape traffic
6 and 11 are Inteli (Fill in for dead spots) and unless someone is affiliated to the site, you likely won't hear much, altho 6 does cover most of the Truro/P-Town coverage

Also don't forget there are 5 police departments that still use conventional 800 MHz for their operations.

Barnstable: 855.2125 D445 (system problems now, they're on MSP system but will be back on this at some point)
Yarmouth: 855.2375 D445
Sandwich: 855.1125 D445
Falmouth: 855.4625 D445
Bourne: 857.4125 D445
