AA Fire ran two different rescue assignments in the Annapolis and Harwood areas this afternoon...

First one around 1230 on Rt 2 just north of Southern High School - 3 patients flown by 2 helicopters .. 10+ patients?

Just before 2pm, another less serious accident on Rt 50....

Then, just before 3pm, another rescue with fatality - Rt 50/665... two more helicopters?

I've been listening. They have been very busy.

I caught the first one after the initial dispatch and didn't hear anything about the cause for 10+ patients other than an accident. Heard the double and single airlift in addition to a ton of ambulances.

Was there a bus or something involved?

The MCI as declared by BC3 was 4 Vehicles. 2 Adults and a Ped Airlifted.

The later fatal accident on Rt 50 was caused (according to this article) by and off-duty police officer

Looks like the earlier accident on Rt 50 at Rt 2 caused a traffic backup that contributed to this accident.

Heard some coms on Maryland DNR 159.450 PL114.8 coordinating
ambulances to the chopper LZ.
TROOPER 4 from Delaware State Police and Maryland TROOPER 6 landed nearby.

And a fatal shooting in Glen Burnie yesterday evening. Busy day in the county...

The two that were airlifted from the rte 50 accident didn't make it. Triple fatal accidrnt.

Damn, that's awful.

Last night about 9 PM a car took the exit from Eastbound 50 to Route 2 Parole at high speed and didn't make the curve. Vehicle went across the grass, across the on-ramp and stopped with the front end resting on the guard rail.

I heard the police talking about the oncident at the offramp last evening. I think I'm going to take alternate routes from 50 for a while. That road is crazy from 301 to the bridges.

I noticed both channel 11 and 13 reported the two airlifted patients as serious condition at 11pm last night while MSP had already at around 9 pm notified they had not made it. They were both reporting the incident as a triple fatality this morning. I would be interested in knowing how fast the off duty officer was traveling.
