When VHF High opens up I'm picking up repeaters on 170.525, one with PL 123.0, and another with PL 192.8. Most traffic concerns prescribed burning. DB search reveals nothing in FL or GA. I know this freq is assigned to the USFS. Anybody have the locations?

I have noticed in St Augustine was having alot of open bands lately. I use to live there for along time. Where I live I get bands open up and hear far away and I'll plug that Freq in see what I get on my end.

Several National Forests in Florida got new repeater outputs recently for Forest Net & Fire Nets. I'll see if I can get an update out for that soon, will check notes and advise.

Sounds like some new stuff in FL, with Rebanding to align to the NTIA format for inputs/outputs..

An OnLine list of repeaters for FLA, I found show sites of (but no forest associated)
Central
Eddy Tower
Hollister
Hosford
Olustee Tower
River Forest
Sumatra

any ideas of which Forests and to add, Freq/Tones

That's exactly what it is. Final of 2 NTIA shuffles settling down. Each Forest was updated from just an Admin Net to two channels, now a Fire Net and Admin Net.

Apalachicola NF:

Fire 170.550
Admin: 170.525

Osceola NF:

Fire 171.500
Admin: 170.525

Ocala NF:

Fire 172.375
Admin: 170.525

Project Net, R8/R9 are the same.

These took the place of the old 164.825 outputs.

Just noticed that the 172.375 Ocala Fire Net is not in the database. If it is active, why was it never added?

According to on of the posters, he confirmed it. I can't even find that frequency listed in the Forestry Comms plan or radio matrix

Then that person should make the submission. :D

I've only seen it as an input for Osceola NF
but with the changes per NTIA who knows what is going to occur/change

Just look at the CBP, BP and ICE Higher Freq = Output, Lower Freq = input

I threw it into the portable at work to see if I can hear any activity, although, I rarely hear any activity from Ocala Forest.
