I have been trying to see what system Southwest Airlines is using for operations. I have been in terminal 4 so many time, with the radio on close call and it never trips. Is it a site on South Mountain or are they using another repeater. Still a mystery after all these years.

Probably using TRBO as they have been transitioning at other airports. Close call generally doesn't pick up TRBO either.

Hello,

You are probably not listening with the right radio :)

They are using some independent frequencies, but they are also using a trunked system.

Based on their licenses, all are DMR capable, and more than likely that is what you will need to hear them.

If you are able to monitor with SDR, you should be able to Identify CC, Slot, and Group information, which would be really nice if you could submit for update to the database.
