That's not good was hopeing to listen in..

You can hear only the coordinate talkgroups the 40somethings and the volunteer fire dept pagers, Hoping this will be the year that a freeware utility will appear on the net to allow us to use our computers with DSD to crack this.

You can listen to Troop I

All is not lost

You can hear a bunch of nearby parishes. You can hear the Broussard fire dept. Troop I, the state DOT public works, SLEMCO,CLECO,Entergy, The boring ham radio guys etc. Lafayette was an exciting listen though. You MAY be able to rig a tower up to hear Baton Rouge which is very exciting.

Hey All.
This past Saturday night I was at my sister's house in Lafayette visiting and just for fun decided to see if anything was going on on the old 800 system. I was surprised to hear some open talk on a few of the talkgroups. I believe they were associated with ULL but I'm not positive. The talkgroup was not listed on RR database. Talked about a couple of traffic stops and a few pretty girls. Some of the talk would go encrypted for a while and then be open for awhile. Definitely not digital. Anyway, just thought I would throw it out there. Also, does anybody know for sure if St Martin parish has shut down their EDACS system? I can no longer find any control channel on the frequencies listed. I wonder if they have gone to LWIN? I'll have to bring my computer with me next time and run a scan of LWIN on the Parks tower next time. My good friend can see the parks tower from his house.

I know for a fact that all st.martin is on LWIN...i hear them everyday on the assumption tower

There's one old sheriff's office talkgroup that they chatter on.

that must be the talkgroup they went on a couple weeks ago...I heard a deputy tell another deputy to go to talk....and they didn't pop up on lwin....hmmm

Notice the part how they talked about pretty girls. Hmmm the need for enc.... lol
