After a week or more of being on my 536 once shut down and then turned back on will need to have the clock set, so the battery is no longer working. I have the update in there so it will still work after the bypass,...

What to do?

I would do nothing at this point if you need the time stamp for recording you can enable it temporarily Uniden will probably have a permanent hardware fix forthcoming.
