Why is Montville Fire dispatched on both 151.0025 & 159.3525? Why are they not on a single frequency?
Anyone have an answer to this one?

I get that Dan, but why not have them on the same frequency? Wouldn't that make life more logical?

It would make it much more logical but I'm sure Money is the problem. Many towns in CT have simulcast system that use 4,5 even 6 towers transmitting on the same frequency at the same time but its not cheep, you need GPS at each site and the connectivity between the sites needs to be fast, Like T1 or microwave. That's the correct way, their are company's out there that make simulcast equipment that cuts corners and sort of works. Best to do it the right way the first time
Here a few towns I know of that have good simulcast systems and how many sites if I know ( You can find out in the FCC license)
