If I upgrade to the RR premium service, will the downloads through Freescan drop in perfectly? I can handle some editing but, as yet, I have no idea what most of the column headings stand for. I don't mind upgrading as long as it will make Freescan seamless. If there were some sort of examples out there for P25 systems it would really help me get a feel for what is needed. Anyhow...

Also, RR affers a 90 day upgrade, oddly through the mail, but they left of the fee. Anyone know what it is?

Much thanks, promise I won't ask another question for at least a few days.

The mail-in subscription shows the 90 day fee at $7.50.

All database-related elements will import. However, you will still need to set some settings manually, if desired. The two most often used are:
a) Quick Keys (highly recommended), and
b) Channel Alerts

Thanks guys. Once I get a confirmation from Uniden that they will be fixing the Phase 2/ Conventional bug I will most likely be getting the 996P2.

I am really grateful for all the help here. Makes me feel great :).

We'll start beta testing a fix this evening. (Note that we became aware of it on Monday...)

Sounds great. I can wait. A brand new radio is bound to have a few issues.

Thanks
