PRO-652 Programming

Just got a Pro-652 on clearance from Radio Shack (them going under still makes me sad...).

I've ordered the USB cable and downloaded the ARC500 software (waiting on an activation key). I'll be buying the RR premium membership.

So, while I wait for that stuff so I can program, any tips and tricks to offer? I primarily want to scan my local county and NWINS.

Correct. Create a system in the radio and then enter the red control channel for it on Radio Reference for the system you are interested in.

enter one tgid - wildcard. If you go to enter one it defaults to this. Just hit save. This is how you put a 652 into search mode.

Then hit scan. Using the wildcard it will stop on any active talkgroup on the system.
