Greetings all -
I am looking for a little information on the Motorola HT1000 radios. I have been able to find that character 4 in the radio's model number denotes the frequency range for the radio. According to what I have read, a frequency split that is 146 to 178 MHz is denoted by a K in position 4, and a split that is 136 to 162 MHz is denoted by a J in position 4. Most of the radios I've seen on the resale market seem to have a K in that position, but they are sold as "136 to 172 MHz" radios. So - can the HT1000 with a K be programmed below 146 MHz? Specifically, I'm looking to program in the 143 MHz range.
Many thanks!
Sean
