I have a Uniden 396xt handheld scanner. I have programmed it to pick up Frederick Co. and it wont pick anything up. It will pick up Montgomery Co. with no problems. Does anyone know why.

From where are you trying to listen?

Hi,
Remember, The Frederick is a simulcast LSM site. Try looking for a good signal spot in your home try little to no antenna or the atn turned on.It is probably too much signal from different transmitter sites.
Lookup the many issues described for Frederick co under the State of MD forum.
