opp question

i was wondering if any one knows what type of planes that opp might use when they are looking for a grow op or looking for speeders on the highway because yesterday i have noticed a low flying plane possible commercial jet with 2 engines on the tail possible flying about 800-1000 feet altitude give or take i noticed it when i was in my back yard in sarnia

That was the NAV Canada flight inspection aircraft (CRJ) doing calibration runs on the ILS at Sarnia airport.

While choppers are sometimes used, most surveillance for outdoor plantations and speeders would be mostly handled by a cessna as it has a high wing which makes it easy for viewing below and costs less to operate per hour than the helos.

As far as I know they don't even have any jet aircraft, only pilatus p-12 turboprops that mostly ferry the brass around.
