Does anyone know if Jackson County Fire has switched over to VIPER? I'm visiting next weekend and would love to monitor.

Thanks

I would say enter both the UHF Channels and the Viper Channels.

If I am not mistaken they would more that likely still be using the UHF for paging purposes.

I monitor VIPER in the Macon and Jackson County areas fairly regularly and have not heard Jackson on VIPER. I do hear their Fire Dispatch on both their Cowee and Glass Mtn repeaters (453.400 - 136.5).

Jackson Co Fire

For those who like to also monitor the repeater input side, I believe their Cowee repeater input PL is 136.5 while the Glass Mountain input is 146.2.
