Appreciate the site file and database update Erik!

I think some of the information in the database needs to be be corrected. It looks like it's going to be RTD's ADCOM site at 39.82803, -104.93997 according to the license. It might be appropriate to include either ADCOM or Adams County to the Site Name (eg. RTD ADCOM) since RTD will be bringing up a DIA site as well.

On Friday I was getting 2-3 signal bars from Lakewood, but no voice grants. I suppose that's pretty common for a new site that just came on line. I wonder if this site substantially overlaps FRCC coverage? In other words, if the FRCC Adams County simulcast site were still on
DTRS, and/or RTD could access FRCC through ISSI, would this site still be necessary? Maybe so, I don't know.

It most certainly does overlap with Adams County Simulcast if the license is remotely accurate. It would not be needed if ADCOM were still on DTRS and if ADCOM allowed them to use their site. According to the license the RTD's antenna sits lower on the tower and has a lower gain antenna, which would lead to a slightly smaller footprint. This doesn't account for the other 3 towers that are apart of the site that would extend it's area of coverage.

As for ISSI, I'd imagine RTD's operations would not considered mission critical enough to use ISSI. I believe each ISSI gateway only supports a number of simultaneous talkgroups, so it is mainly being reserved for the interoperability talkgroups. Other than that, ISSI might be used to support CSP operations, but that all remains to be seen depending on how politics plays out.

Update: Well, this site is fully up and running, you can hear lots of RTD talkgroups. The only non-RTD TG I've heard thus far is Blue NW (presumably because they had to allow NWF and MAC channels).

So it looks like they called site 169 by the name of "Birch" since it is near or on Birch St.

Address of Adams County Comms is 7321 Birch St, Commerce City, CO 80022.
