Anyone pick of anything on 261.300 today? I have it listed as Norad/Sidecar. Sounded like some kind of exercise. Had comms from about 14:13 to 15:35

Could have been some refueling exercises you heard. I looked at my list of frequencies and could not find that particular one. My list is a few years old. I do beleive track 206H and 206L fly routes just south of lake Ontario and Erie.

Yea wasn't refueling. I have all those freqs. AR 206 comes right over the top of my house. This was more like pointing out points on the ground. Sometimes it came in really clear like they had moved closer and then they would fade away. Can't remember where I had got that freq from?? Could have been from a list from the old Detroit super bowl cap.

Today and Sat have action on 344.300 which I had listed as ZYZ Center from the 2005 Detroit Super Bowl CAP and the 2010 G8 Summit in Toronto. Had Vimy 11 & 12 with Sidecar. There was also a 51 in there too. Couldn't make out his callsign. Could be possibly related to the up coming Pan-AM games in Canada?

Ok, I am hearing OILR39 which happens to be a C130 (Canadian) I am picking him up on my AirNav Radarbox right now. Only Mode-S unfortunately, no ADS-B so I can't tell exactly where he is.

Mode-S C2AF8B, holding at 17,000 feet

VIMY11/12 are the CF-18s out of CFB Bagotville, Quebec. The '51' was probably BRUISER51 (Alpha Jet from Discovery Air...also use CHEETAH##). OILR39 would be the tanker for the flight. Often the tanker would use the callsign MOLSN## and they do use 234.700. I've not heard them using 344.300. VIMY11/12/13 were flying from CFB Greenwood in Nova Scotia on Wednesday.
They usually will practice intercepts and do a bit of DACM.

I have 344.300 listed as a ZYZ Center? Do you know if it is something else too? I have heard jets on it from the US side call on that freq when passing over the Lake Erie area between US and Canada

Just for your info about aircraft UHF frequencies from a friend of mine in the ATC business CZYZ removed UHF from ATC:

Military aircraft operate on civil ATC frequencies with regular flight plans while en route. Given that virtually all IFR ATC and most Tower UHF frequencies were removed from service in Canada over the last 3 years, any military flights will be on regular VHF ATC frequencies whether in IFR or VFR airspace. They are of course free to use air to air frequencies on alternate radios and may be VHF or UHF equipped for that.

It must originate in the U.S.

Thanks for pointing that out. I should have reviewed this.
