MARCS-IP talk group

I hope this goes through. I was in Columbus today and saw this talk group come up. It sounded like one half of a phone conversation. The user ID is different. There was another code on the screen but by the time I got my camera out it stopped.

That looks like a phone patch.

It won't display a talk group because there is none. It will only display the radio ID of the unit that is transmitting.

MARCS-IP has no phone patch capability. That was probably a private call, which is allowed to a very limited extent on the system. The other user was most likely on a different site.

Tier 4 partners can make more use of private call as long as it's limited primarily to their site(s) only.

Private Call was my first thought too, but I usually see both TGIDs when I see Private Calls. I have never heard or seen a phone patch on either MARCS it was just a hunch.
