Interesting. I'm wondering if Harris won a contract, or is acting as an agent as part of their mx agreement with the city. Looking over their capital improvement plan, they've allocated $500K for FY16, and $9M for FY17, so it appears that the $500K is for system planning/consulting, and the $9M is for acquisition / construction. Anyway, I'm thinking that the 700 channels will be additional to their current 800 frees, giving them a mixed 700/800 system.

I've been looking around but it seems like Ocean City isn't planning on committing to something until sometime next year. My guess is that they are awaiting the results of the Worcester County bid and award of contract.

No contract to Harris. Ocean City has coastal interference issues with some currently licensed 800MHz channels and plans to design a P25 TDMA System around 700MHz channels. Six 800MHz channels will be returned and Five 800MHz channels may be reused in the new system for interops with 800MHz only radios. Ocean City is very interested in the selection of both Worcester & Wicomico County.
