Listening in to a possible lost raft search on Lake Ontario, Oswego county area. They are mentioning the coast guard coming in to help and I'm wondering if there are frequencies for this area to scan, or should I put in the whole big list. I'm just south of Oswego.

Just an FYI, if there is a Coast Guard air search, the aircraft will be coming from Detroit. It has happened before and it's pretty cool to monitor.

Thanks, didn't hear anything on their frequencies, but did learn they have a CNYICC radio and we're communicating with the local departments on "fireground 7'

Most of the CG Ops would have been on their own P25 VHF/UHF LMR Network
United States Coast Guard - The RadioReference Wiki

They generally only use the VHF Marine channels when interfacing with external agencies

That is a localized condition. If the P25 infrastructure is available, then they will use it. If it hasn't been built out yet, then they will be where they have always been, as alphaacres listed.

In the Albany, New York, area, what CG ops do take place are on a system of VHF analog repeaters, along with the usual marine band channels.

Now that I have a spare scanner I'll set it up to scan / log the coast guard frequencies to see what if any channels I can hear.

150.700 with a different PL for each repeater.

Technically CG Aux, but I have heard actual CG assets doing radio tests from time to time.

OK, had me baffled as the USCG LMR is P25

Yes, the USCG Aux - however Yes various CG Assetts do have access to it

Yeah, sorry, I get annoyed when other people screw up the nomenclature. This time I did it. Oops.
