Reading would be the site... Reading Site Details (KSICS -- Kansas Statewide Interoperable Communication System) Lyon county would fall under Troop H Chanute. They would be using KHP-H1 on the KSICS system. It would also be a good idea to program in the turnpike talkgroups as well.

I see no listing for Skywarn spotters, nor a K-Link repeater for Lyon County or Emporia. I did, however, locate two repeaters in Lyon County. 146.985 (-) PL 88.5 and 443.0 (+) PL 103.5 Source: https://www.repeaterbook.com/repeaters/LocationSearch.php?state_id=20&type=city&loc=Emporia

The .985 Emporia repeater is run by the K-Link guys, but is not linked into their system. The Matfield Green repeater should be easily hit from Emporia (maybe not with a rubber duck, but with just about any external antenna it should be doable). I've hit it with my FT-817 from Melvern Lake on a number of occasions, and even was able to key it up on Field Day from here in Allen Co.
