New Control Channels Found in Palm Desert

So there are two systems that showed up on 852.65 and 852.9

These systems are either P25 Phase I or II for sure.

No talkgroup hits but there are somewhere in the area because in the Palm Desert area I am getting full signal strenth in the area.

Anybody have an idea??

Did a search at FCC for Riverside county, and it looks like it's Nextel:

includes replacing the SmartZone radio core with a new industry- standard P-25 radio core and SmartZone-to-P-25 converters, installing a fully functional data network, and installing the operator consoles.

Phase B - Start Date: April 24, 2014 , Closure Date: March 20, 2015
includes installing the P-25 radio equipment at all repeater sites.

Phase C - Start Date: August 04, 2014 , Closure Date: November 30, 2015
includes replacing the entire subscriber radios with P-25 rebandable radios.
The target date for completion of this project is November 30, 2015.

This project is also coordinating and working with the System Conservation Project (SCP). The SCP under its approved MWA “Implementation of the System Conservation Program” (Phase 1-1A approved April 19, 2011), will be expending $1 million under its SCADA upgrade component, which will make use of the radio system data channel as a wireless data communication network for zanjero mobile computers.

Motorola was the only contractor to submit a proposal.

Nice find too. Also, noted some more talkgroups that have shown up for PSEC but they continue to be all Encrypted. Sounds like this system will forever be locked down. Bummer
