Just moved to Cumberland County and I'm a little confused as to what system(s) to program into my scanner:

1) the trunked system from here Cumberland County Public Safety Trunking System, Crossville, Tennessee - Scanner Frequencies

2) or the conventional frequencies from here Cumberland County, Tennessee (TN) Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference

The RR Cumberland County page says the county is "transitioning" to the trunked system but the latest information posted is from 2012.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cumberland County (SO, Fire, EMS etc) use the Cumberland County Public Safety System. Crossville City uses the conventional.

Thanks for the replies.

What about THP? Again, RR has conflicting info. One page says District 6 (Cookeville, Cumberland, etc.) is on a 42 MHZ VHF-Lo system, another page says it's on TACN. The TACN page on RR doesn't list District 6 as on TACN. I'm not close to I-40 so I don't have much opportunity to find THP transmissions by just listening.

Thanks again for the help.

Been awhile since I was through that area, but District 6 was using TACN. The old system is still operational for a backup so I'd program both, but rely on the TACN.

Another thing to pick up in Cumberland county easily is TWRA. Like Cumberland Cnty PS and TACN they are P25, but VHF.There is a TWRA office in Crossville.
