BCD536Hp Beeps and resumes scanning P25

My BCD536HP suddenly started beeping and resuming scanning at the start of each received transmission. P25 digital decode threshold is set to AUTO. Is is possible that one or more of the sites in my range are down or is it some setting I might have changed unknowlingly?

I don't have a 536HP manual handy but could this mean it is receiving an encrypted transmission?

It won't beep due to encryption. Do you (the OP) have the scanner connected to a PC?
Well, maybe it's not a beep, but a blip from the encrypted audio?

The BCD546Hp is connect via USB to ARC536Pro which can drop out of serial mode, although the scanner does give a message that it's switched to "Mass Storage" what do you think?

Check to see if the alert tone is on in your talk group list or your UID list you could of accidently turned them on check the whole column's.

I bet ARC is telling the scanner to continue. Try it without the scanner connected to your PC and see it if works properly.
