I have found frequency 171.6625 with a NAC of 156 in the Baltimore Metro area, anyone have any idea who the user is, it is a very wide area repeater, can be heard in AA, Howard, Baltimore City & County and Harford.

Looking to see if it is linked to something else or UHF.

I believe that is the DEA. Down here in Florida we have seen many new VHF DEA repeaters going on the air. What is strange is that some agents are still using the old analog repeaters and car-to-car frequencies, while others are using the new P25 VHF frequencies. They are slowly transitioning to P25.

Are you sure it was 171.6625 and not 170.6625. My newest repeater is on 170.6625 N-156.

And Dual Band Radios. Depending on where in the Country, some are VHF/UHF and others are VHF/800

Still on UHF here in New England and still using the old UHF (Non 9 Mhz) Pairs

I believe that is the DEA. They are slowly transitioning to P25.

I thought since my new DEA repeater was on 170.6625 that yours might be also. Thanks for the new frequency.

Appears that it might be DEA, as there is no activity on the UHF frequencies they used to use & it does not seem to be linked to anything else that I can tell.
