They sure did a good job reminding everyone, they have the encryption.

Really? Then why are the counties still on vhf and only two have p25 and if the state police, wardens and such want to talk to.county and cities they have to switch to those freqs?

Agreed, the byline should read 'Harris Corporation'

Best moments; apparently "situation awareness" is now a feature you can order on a portable and network coverage = interoperability.

I'm sure all contractors push to get their products featured in articles like this but I'm not really sure what they accomplish...

Well, they do employ alot of people.
And they tell the customer's "what they want to hear"
With limitted competition--they kinda got the market cornerred.
They -did- do us 1 favor-
they made it so we got an analog tie in-- with a tone..
That csq on 156.150 was a drag.
